From the street the curved driveway can be spotted
A simple red brick building
A house, simply a roof and door
On the inside though this residence encases so much that most can't see
A kitchen filled of the smell of coffee brewing
A chair that if it could speak would tell of all the conversations it's overheard
A dining room where meals were had
A bedroom where nighttime prayers said
Home is where you are
Inside these walls laughter echos off the wall
Tears have been soaked into the carpets
Good and bad times had
This place we call home isn't just our shelter from the rains
It's our home
Home is where you are
If it wasn't here with you, I could call anywhere home as long as you are there
Because home is where you are
