Valentine’s Day Heart Pattern Background
This month I only read two books. One was a self-help book, the other was a Christian fiction book.
The first was Love & Respect: The Love She Most Desires; The Respect He Desperately Needs by Emerson Eggerichs.
This book was well written and is now highlighted and filled with several sticky notes, and flagged pages. It is written by a pastor that has some much-needed insight and knowledge into not only marriage relationships but relationships in general. The main point in this story is that there is a cycle that can repeat itself. The main need for a woman is love while the main need for a man is respect. If a woman isn’t receiving love she most likely isn’t giving her husband the respect her yearns for and vice versa. This book taught me a lot, and I hope the lessons continue to carry through into my marriage and other relationships. My favorite part of this book was it had several bible verses that I could look up and further my study.
The second book was “With This Ring? A Novella Collection of Proposals Gone Awry”
This book called out to me while it sat on the shelf at Wal-mart. I had never read anything by the authors included in this book, but the idea of several stories all relating to the same thing intrigued me. Once I opened the pages I was hooked. The stories were perfect lengths, not to0 short. All the stories were wrapped up in a pretty package by the ending. The stories ,of course, had love elements but they also had plenty of drama included. For example, two men vying for the same woman, or love right in front of a person all along. I look forward to finding more books from these wonderful writers. GREAT VALENTINE THEMED BOOK:)
