A Letter from Jossalyn: Finding Strength in Every Storm

Hey there, dear reader,

I’m Jossalyn, and if you’re reading this, you’re about to embark on a journey with me—a journey through the highs and lows of life as a single mom in the heart of Texas. My life isn’t exactly what you’d call easy. Between raising my twin girls, Harper and Hannah, on my own and juggling shifts at the hotel bar, I’ve had my fair share of struggles. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. You see, life threw me a curveball when I found myself raising two little ones alone, but those girls are my world. Every day is a balancing act, but we get through it with a lot of love, a little bit of stubbornness, and more than a few late-night prayers. And when the rare Texas snowstorm hits, well, it’s just another challenge to face head-on—because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you can’t let life’s storms knock you down for long.Through the pages of Winter Embrace, you’ll see me at my most vulnerable, but also at my strongest. Whether I’m navigating a grocery store in the midst of pre-snow panic or finding a way to make a snow day special for my girls, I’m always searching for the silver linings. And maybe, just maybe, there’s a little room in my heart to open up to love again.I hope you’ll join me in this story—not just to see what happens next, but to feel the warmth that comes from family, hope, and the belief that better days are always ahead.

With love, Jossalyn
